Asian Amateur Golfer
Asian Amateur Golfer (AAG) was established to cater to the increasing demand from amateur golfers who wish to participate in Pro-Ams staged during our various Asian Seniors Tour (AST) and ASEAN PGA tournaments and who also desire to play social golf at some of most prestigious golf courses in the ASEAN and the Asia Pacific region.
The AAG offers golfers the opportunity to play in golfing events to be staged by the ASEAN Tour at some of the best courses in the 10 ASEAN member nations comprising Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Amateur Player - categories / division - amateur golfers can;
- qualify to join the ASEAN PGA and or AST
- play for the prize pool funds
- retain their amateur status
The purse for each Amateur division is based on the number of participants
Men's AMATEUR OPEN Division - no restriction to age
Seniors Division Men aged 50+
Super Seniors Men aged 65+
Veterans Men aged 70+
Ladies Open Division - no restriction to age
Ladies Evergreen - aged 50+

AMATEUR GOLFERS wishing to participate in the Pro-Ams and or play in the tournaments are most welcome and can also elect to undergo qualifying school, and having passed and joined they can then play in our pro tournaments for prize money whilst still retaining their amateur status...
During the 3rd quarter of 2026 we will try to arrange for a few spots for of our AST members to join players from the Senior PGAs of Australia & New Zealand for the planned New Zealand swing in September, please do let me know if this might be of interest to any of you.
Success on the AST and the ASEAN PGA tour will provide ASEAN’s leading professional and amateur golfers with the opportunity to qualify for and be invited to represent their country at larger tournaments in Australia, the Asia Pacific region and at International tournaments staged by the Legends Tour (Europe) and various other events staged by the national PGA's of Europe, Australia, the USA and South Africa.

Champion at the 12th ASM @ Thailand (Phuket) 2025 presented by ParTee who secured a place to represent the AST in the US$ 600k purse Vietnam Legends Championship 2026 to be staged in Ho Chih Minh in March 2026.
Udorn came in at -15 returning 68 + 67 + 66 for a most impressive 201 to win the 12th ASM @ Thailand staged at Red Mountain GC from 16 to 19 Nov .

Champion at the 16th ASM @ Singapore 2025 who secured a place to represent the AST in the US$ 550k purse Vattanac Legends Championship 2025 staged at Vattanac GR (East course) from 21 to 23 Nov 2025. Roszali came in at -3 after returning 71 + 71 + 71 for 213 during the 16th ASM Singapore 2025 staged at Indah Puri GR, Batam from Mon 10 to Wed 12 Nov
